These “Tree Spotter Cards” were published by Ed-U-Cards (no date). The precise illustrations and warm colors give them a cozy look, I think. And as the box copy enthuses, “It’s fun, too, playing the ’64 Point Game,’ learning many interesting facts about the different kinds of trees, and becoming an expert!”

this one is very ‘Peyton Place”, or “the Trouble with Harry”………..are there any lilac trees in the deck? Or weeping willows??

No lilacs or willows. I like the ones with composite names: cottonwood, buckeye, sweetgum, longleaf.

NICE NAMES. Evergreen is a nice name too.

I have a deck of these and my research indicates they were first published in 1947. My deck is copyrighted 1951. It includes rules for a quizzing game, with answers on the backs of each card. As Ed-U-Cards published a lot of flash card sets at that time, it is not surprising this deck is only slightly different from flash cards.
