I’m afraid I can tell you nothing about this charming Japanese deck, since all the copy on it is in Japanese. Jack doesn’t look too welcome here, does he?

Doug is holding out on us. This whole deck is pretty damn amazing. More please! The 10 of clubs is just too cute.

FIRST OF ALL, THE IDEA OF A KANGAROO IS VERY DISTURBING WITHIN THE MATING HABITS OF CREATURES THAT WE SHARE REAL ESTATE WITH ON EARTH. IT’S BAD ENOUGH TO SHARE PERSONAL REAL ESTATE WITH OFFSPRING…….LET ALONE A MALE FIGURE????? why is the KING in the pouch????? “JACK” ISN’T ALLOWED IN THE POUCH……!!??

That is the Jack! Kings have beards in playing card land. On the other spade face cards, the Queen rides a flying swan, and the King is perched on a camel. In the other suits, the face cards are animals themselves. These kangaroos don’t look happy with this Jack; I suspect he’ll soon be evicted.

he doesn’t belong there, especially graphically. I love two faced playing card characters myself, and would love to see the queen and the King. Very Monty Python…..or, world in reverse.
