Many people have asked me about a memorial service for John. We’ll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, here’s a brief poem John wrote when he was sixteen. It’s called “My Last Wish.”
the thing I would like most to do
is look upon my friends
and hear what they say about me
after my funeral ends.
We’ll give you an earful, John.

Six of John’s “associates” got together for a 3 hour tribute for the ParaCast that will be broadcast the 12th at 10 PM ET and then go into the program’s archives where it can be heard 24/7.
Guest included Tim Beckley, Brad Steiger, Jerome Clark,Loren Coleman, Jim Moseley and Curt Sutherly. The tribute was hosted by Gene Steinberg and David Beidny.
Keel was one of my favorites.

Tim — Thanks for the info. With that crew, I’ll bet John did get quite an earful!

I’ve posted a 2000+ word remembrance of my 30 year relationship with John on my site in the articles section under the “articles on master Magicians” section. I wrote it in August 2008 one year prior to Keel’s death because he told me he was going to die soon. The picture is of JAK signing my Mothman poster which I bought at the time of the movie. The other photo is of him proudly standing outside a theatre on the Upper West side showing the flick.
