We check in again with our friend, the Old Maid, and find her taking in a local circus. This 1959 edition from Ed-U-Cards has a distinctly cartoonish touch; perhaps an animator was moonlighting. And here, as is customary, is the Old Maid herself.

Hey, I thought at first you meant Batty Bear was the Old Maid! The Old maid seems to always be having a good time! And Batty Bear is very, very cute!

“batty bear” doesn’t seem to mind the economic downfall..he’s still happy and care-free. He’s on his way to sleep away the winter. This old maid is far too pragmatic.
